Planning Commission Update

At their Nov. 13 meeting, the Tehachapi Planning Commission approved the Architectural Design and Site Plan for a Burger Bros drive-thru restaurant to be located at 1001 W. Tehachapi Blvd. next to Walgreens. The 3,000 square-foot restaurant will have seating for 40 people and the drive-thru will have entry from the alley. The owner of the restaurant is Paul Zarounian of Palmdale. He is also the new owner of the entire building.

As conditions of approval, the Planning Commission asked that the alley be resurfaced and that space be created for three refuse containers behind the building.

The Tehachapi Planning Commission also approved a sign for Luna's Mexican Restaurant, opening soon at 414 W. Tehachapi Blvd. Suite F. Stay tuned.

The Tehachapi Planning Commission meets on the second Monday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Tehachapi Police Department Community Room located at 220 W. C St.
