Have A Heart receives donation

With just a few hours remaining on Have A Heart's annual Giving Tuesday fundraiser on Nov. 28, Barabara Ferrante, owner of Jake's Steakhouse, dropped off an extraordinarily generous donation of pet food and a $1,000 check at the organization's new storefront at 787 W. Tehachapi Blvd, Suite B. Barabara purchased the $700-plus haul of pet food from Canine Creek that afternoon, where owner Kellie Dudevoir was more than happy to give Barabara a 20% discount on the charitable purchase.

Have A Heart posted the story to their Facebook page that day with a picture of Barabara and the back of her pet-food filled trunk, saying this about the meaningful gesture, "The love and compassion witnessed today truly warms our hearts. Your contributions are the reason we are able to save animals and continue to provide support to our animal loving community!"
