Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
We've watched the parade, lighted the tree, seen the play at the BeeKay, and heard the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra perform. Now, with the days counting down to Christmas Day, it's our turn to sing! An ensemble of The Tehachapi POPS Orchestra (TPOPS) members and friends invite the community to join them for an old-fashioned Holiday Family Singalong on Thursday, Dec 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Adult Daycare Health Center (ADHC).
James Peck will conduct the musicians, and TPOPS President Maria Weir Werth will lead everyone in singing carols and other songs of the season. The audience members will be asked to choose what they would like to sing from a booklet that will include words. Interspersed with the carols will be some specialty numbers prepared by the ensemble.
So, take a break from your shopping or your workday and come join the singing! The event is free, but tax-deductible donations are always appreciated. ADHC is at 123 E. F St. (the former Moose Hall) in downtown Tehachapi. Doors open at 1 p.m.
