Tehachapi Community Theatre Spotlight
Imagine a place where everything is the way it was. The color of faded pictures and old streetcars.
Tehachapi Community Theatre Association is proud to present "Coney Island Christmas," directed by Lisa Meridth, based on Grace Paley's memoir "The Loudest Voice" and stage adapted by Daniel Margulies.
"Coney Island Christmas" will transport you back to a joyous holiday season in 1935 Brooklyn. Follow an enduring immigrant family as they find their way in their new home and face the timeless dilemma of how to keep hold of what they treasure most. While adapting to an unfamiliar world they discover what it means to be an American. The children will enchant you with their holiday cheer and the grownups will remind you of your hopes and dreams. Our talented cast includes veteran actors Craig Weishaar, Daniel Franco, Denise Miller, Brogan Trapp, Nick Cardenas, Amy Kirk, RJ Webster and Dash Williams. "Coney Island Christmas" performances are Dec. 8, 9, 15, 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 9, 10, 16, 17 at 2 p.m. at the BeeKay Theatre located in downtown Tehachapi. Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.tctonstage.com or at the box office prior to each performance.
