The Wine Walk is back in Tehachapi, Feb. 10

Tehachapi has been yearning for the return of the Wine Walk, and we at the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce are excited to announce that it is back!

Armed with knowledge from those who organized previous events and partnerships with the Tehachapi Mountains Wine Growers Association, Discover Tehachapi Tours, The Loop newspaper, the City of Tehachapi and Rancho Raviri Almonds, the Feb. 10 Tehachapi Valentine's Wine Walk is going to be an incredible event! This wine walk will feature local wines from the seven vineyards here in Tehachapi, including Dorner Family Vineyard, Tehachapi Wine and Cattle Company, Tehachapi Winery, Triassic Vineyards, Los Viajeros Vineyard, Stray Leaves Vineyard and Tasting Room, and more. With 15 different tasting locations tucked inside downtown businesses, participants will have the rare opportunity to taste all of what Tehachapi has to offer.

Wine is only the beginning of what this event will bring. Along the walk you'll hear the melodies of Harpist Brenda Hunter, Saxophonist Amy Rodriguez, Mike Heckathorn and classic musicians from Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra. You'll want to take some time to listen to the selections they've chosen for this event.

Rancho Raviri Almonds & Gifts, a local shop that specializes in gourmet chocolates and nuts, is the official chocolate sponsor for this event. Each tasting location will feature different chocolates that will pair with the wines. But bring your appetite, because six local bakeries will be on the map, as well, including Catron's Cakery, Pammy Bakes, TehachaPie, Cub n Gup, MADD Bakery and Truffles 'n' Toffee - gourmet truffles from Vladamir Litt. Downtown restaurants and eateries will also be open for business. Vendors will be selling jewelry, wares, lotions, tinctures and more on Green Street throughout the event.

The Valentine's Wine Walk will start at 1 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. Plenty of time to enjoy each tasting, shop, listen and truly experience Tehachapi. Tickets are $60 and include a map of the event provided by The Loop newspaper, 12 tastings, chocolate pairings, a tote bag and a commemorative wine glass. They can be purchased at discovertehachapi.com. Discover Tehachapi Tours is a proud registration sponsor for this event. There are designated driver tickets available, as well, for $30. Check-in will be at the Discover Tehachapi booth located on Green Street next to Gallery 'N' Gifts.

We are excited to be working with downtown businesses including Go2Girlz, the Visitor Center, Sheridan's, Auntie Em's Antiques, Wild Roots Style Co., Gallery 'N' Gifts, The Dressing Room, Funky Junk Antiques, The Tehachapi Train Depot Museum, Country Real Estate, Moses Carpet, Nanette Keller Boutique, The Christian Store, TehachaSleep, Tehachapi Arts Center, Stray Leaves Tasting Room, Markos D1 Salon, Moe's Barbershop, BeeKay Theatre, The Village Co., One Fine Day, Miele Apothecary, Fiddler's Crossing and more.

Thank you to our event sponsors: The Loop newspaper, The City of Tehachapi, Pinnacle Surveying & Engineering Services, Knight Building Systems, Discover Tehachapi Tours, the Tehachapi Museum, Have a Heart Humane Society and Tehachapi Amateur Radio Association.
