Suspects arrested after lengthy investigation

On Wednesday, Jan. 24 Detectives with the Tehachapi and Bakersfield Police Departments executed a search warrant in the 4600 block of Ashworth Road in Oildale, following a yearlong investigation into ATM thefts.

Investigators arrested Bakersfield residents Daniel Gonzales, 45, and Christine Paulson, 38, who were identified as suspects being involved in thefts in both the Bakersfield and Tehachapi areas. Both subjects were booked on multiple felony theft charges and are currently being held on over a million dollar bail. During the search of the property, multiple items were located and seized linking Gonzales and Paulson to several ATM and property thefts.

Detectives from both agencies are working together in actively pursuing additional leads regarding this case. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact investigators with either agency.
