Celebration of Life
Lifelong Tehachapi resident, Wesley Vaughan Fenton, passed away tragically on March 1.
Wesley grew up attending Bear Valley Church and went to many camps and youth activities. As an adult, he proclaimed his Christian faith by having "Forgiven" and "Born Again" tattooed knee-to-ankle on each shin.
Wesley enjoyed outdoor activities. He loved playing golf, baseball, football and basketball. He also spent a lot of time at the pool in the summer. His passions were playing at the lakes, fishing, hiking, camping with his family and friends and playing in the snow. He fished with a simple cane pole like no other. He was fun and adventurous, very sociable and a leader.
Wes was known for being mischievous and witty, yet was a fierce protector and friend of those not capable of standing up for themselves.
Wes graduated from Grizzly Youth Academy, through California National Guard in San Luis Obispo, where he learned to overcome obstacles and work hard to achieve goals. Wesley also graduated from Northwest Lineman College in Oroville, California, from which he established a career in electrical technology. He was excited to begin a career with Vast Space in Mojave on March 11. Our family is thankful for Vast and sorry for their loss.
Wesley was the greatest husband and father. He was the epitome of love and laughter in the family. When a person received a hug from Wesley, it was the best, and that feeling lasted.
Wesley leaves his wife, Emily, son Henry, age 3; parents, Jeff and Kim Fenton; siblings, Molley; Sam and Maddy (wife), all of Tehachapi; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, until we are rejoined in Heaven.
A celebration of Wesley's life was held at Bear Valley Church in Tehachapi on Saturday, March 23, EGBOK, Wesley.
Wood Family Funeral Service has been entrusted with his care.
