Come and join the fun activities at Tehachapi Adult Day Health Care

Tehachapi Adult Day Health Care recently held a pool tournament. Three winners were named, which led to one champion. The air was filled with competitiveness and excitement.

Specific rules were set up by a member of the center, and a playing grid kept track of those who won and lost each game. Those who lost were placed on a new player's grid to compete for a second chance to become the champion.

The outcome of the tournament was champion Scott Peck. He modestly spoke about the event, "I did not expect to win. The more you play the better you get. It keeps us busy and it's a lot of fun." He's looking forward to the next set of tournaments.

Next up, the center will have an array of tournaments including ping pong, dominoes and air hockey, plus a whole day dedicated to games only! There's also Bingo every Tuesday, chair exercises every morning at 10 a.m. and movie day every Friday.

Along with the games at the center, they also provide different activities. These include participating in the Tehachapi Walk, arts and crafts, charades, name that tune, memory training games and making sensory items. They also have a monthly birthday celebration, which takes place on Fridays.
