Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
The Warriors and Knights Mountain Bike Teams are wrapping up the 2024 race season. With Southern California's tricky weather this year, the team faced super hot weather, deep stream crossings and rain soaked courses that clogged up their wheels. Tehachapi's students were up to the challenge though, and were strong all year.
The SoCal Youth Cycling League's season ends with its Championship race in Tehachapi this year on May 12. Tehachapi will be hosting the 2024 SoCal Championships in its own backyard, on the TMTA Trails Systems just east of the city. Tehachapi Warriors and Knights Mountain Bike Teams have competed in five races across Southern California against other teams, and they are bringing the races home for the 2024 SoCal League's Championships.
If you would like to come out to support and see what this amazing sport is all about, racing will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Head east on Tehachapi Blvd., about one mile past the Love's Truck Stop. Look for race signs and make a left turn over the railroad tracks. Follow signs to the race venue.
