The Tehachapi Warriors Booster Club announces the return of the "Reverse Draw," benefiting Tehachapi High School Athletics on Saturday, May 18 at Westlane Brewing, 207 E. H St., Tehachapi, beginning at 6 p.m.
The event is returning for the first time in several years with a slightly different format which increases the odds of winning the $5,000 grand prize. Only 99 tickets will be sold for this event. Each number will be placed in a hopper and each number drawn will be eliminated until one number remains. The 100th number will be held out of the initial drawing and auctioned off live to attendees when there are three numbers remaining and then placed into the drawing.
During the event, every fifth number drawn will have the chance to spin a prize wheel with several prizes available. There will also be silent auction items, including Tehachapi Warriors memorabilia and nostalgic items for Warrior fans available to the highest bidder.
Tickets are $150 which includes one entry to the drawing, admission for two, two dinners provided by Westlane Brewing and two drink tickets. Additional drinks can be purchased through the Westlane staff. The event aims at raising over $5,000 for various THS sports including uniforms, travel expenses, postseason meals, championship patches, scholarships and aesthetic improvements.
"We have been hoping to bring this event back for the last few years, but needed the right venue and the right size as we ease our way back into this great night and Westlane will provide that," said Booster Club President Corey Costelloe. "Our vice president Tiffany Ledesma has done a great job organizing this event along with a few volunteers and supporters that are stepping up, we are looking forward to a great evening and the resurrection of this wonderful fundraiser."
Tickets are available through many THS coaches and members of the Warrior Booster Club Board of Directors. Those looking to purchase a ticket may also email [email protected] and arrange to meet an authorized ticket seller for a purchase. Event is 21 and over.
