Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
A Youth Initiative Expo will be hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi on May 18 at the Tehachapi Community Church, located at 100 E. E St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
May is mental health awareness month and Kiwanis is eager to help youth achieve mental and physical well being. This event will provide resources to parents for youth coming to terms with physical disabilities, mental health struggles, gender identity or gender preferences as well as resources for youth to get involved with their communities through volunteering.
This is a free event for youth and their families. Raffle prizes include a laptop, horseback riding lessons, gift certificates and more. Raffle tickets are free for children 12 to 18 years of age. They can get free raffle tickets by talking to exhibitors and learning about the resources available to them.
Join us for a day of discovery enabling youth to socialize, interact and explore new hobbies and tools for growth.
