Hitching Post Theater to re-open June 15

I recently met with Amber Mitchell, one of the partners who purchased our beloved theater. Amber, along with her partner Lorena Semerenko and their husbands, are working hard to get the Hitching Post Theater, 201 S. Green St., ready for a grand re-opening on June 15 at 2 p.m.

They have remodeled the bathrooms, addressing a community request to make them a bit more spacious. Additionally, they have switched from Pepsi to Coca-Cola products. New carpet and fresh paint have really made the theater sparkle while preserving the charm that the community loves. New signage and an interior mural will add to the remodeled theme while still preserving the old familiar look.

After interviewing over 140 applicants, they have hired 16 new employees and retained some of the previous staff.

They have made a point to hire locals for the remodeling work and can't say enough about the community's support.
