Farmers Market Vendor Spotlight
After starting a packet of Zinnia seeds, they grew into the most beautiful, vibrant colors, and Jacki Head, dreamer and owner of Old Town Flower Farm, wanted to share them. She started giving away flowers from her garden and, unbeknownst to her, she was healing ... one bouquet at a time. It was then that she knew sharing the beauty and joy of flowers was her purpose, and Old Town Flower Farm was born.
This season at the Farmers Market, they are offering Tehachapi grown cut flowers, seeds, edible flowers, dried flowers and fresh and dried herbs. This includes 10 different types of garlic, hot and sweet peppers and tomatoes. There will be a bloom bar where customers can create a unique bouquet. And, they are also excited about their new Floral Nesting Herbs, a mix of flowers and herbs for increasing flock health and happiness.
Besides the Farmers Market, be sure to catch them through October from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Ranch Supply on South Street in Old Town.
Find them on Instagram @old_town_flower_farm and Facebook @oldtownflowerfarm, visit http://www.oldtownflowerfarm.com/, or email [email protected]. Stop by the Old Town Flower Farm Farmers Market booth on Thursdays through Aug. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m., in beautiful downtown Tehachapi, for unique and fragrant flowers!
