The Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION recently hosted its annual fundraiser, Screw Cancer 5 "Staying Alive," at Dorner's Family Vineyard for the second consecutive year. The event was blessed with perfect weather, and despite many other activities happening around town, we had an incredible turnout. We are deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to support us.

It was heartwarming to see several cancer "warriors" in attendance, reminding us why we do what we do. The event featured a flowing abundance of wine, lively auctions, a 50/50 drawing, opportunity drawings and a silent auction, all of which were met with overwhelming generosity from our supporters.

The event's culinary delights were catered by P-Dubs, ensuring no one went hungry. The catering staff was fast and friendly, contributing to the evening's success. Music by Andrew of Lil Ntertainment added to the festive atmosphere, with great tunes and fun dancing.

Our official photographer, VJ Hernandez, did a fantastic job capturing all the action, preserving the memories of this special night.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION. Every dollar raised stays within the 93561 area, helping individuals and families alleviate the financial burden that comes with battling cancer. With radiation and chemotherapy treatments often requiring a 90-mile round trip, the support we provide is crucial.

Special thanks to my co-chairs, Jeannette Devlin and Terri McKeehan, whose efforts were instrumental in making this event a huge success.

Though the event has concluded, the fight against cancer continues. Donations are still welcome and can be made via PayPal at [email protected] or by mailing checks to PO Box 766, Tehachapi, CA 93581.

Thank you all for your unwavering support and generosity.
