Valley Park opens

The City of Tehachapi held the grand opening of Valley Park, 704 W. Valley Blvd., on Monday, June 10. The community attended the ceremony, which included a ribbon cutting, the opportunity for children to put their handprints in a strip of concrete, a giveaway of 200 soccer balls and free soccer clinics from THS Boys and Girls Varsity Soccer teams.

The park includes a 5-A-Side soccer field, landscaping, shade trees, benches, bicycle racks, picnic tables and parking. The park is located at the corner of Valley Blvd. and Aspen Drive.
