Art 2024 Tehachapi opens July 19

The July 19 opening event will give attendees a first look and chance to purchase the paintings created during the May paint out in Tehachapi.

Now is the time to buy your ticket for the Art 2024 Tehachapi opening event on July 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Aspen Builders Community Activity Center located at 410 W. D St. in Tehachapi. Tickets are $125 and 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the Art in the Parks program with Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District. The Tehachapi Arts Commission is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet all of the artists and view the paintings while enjoying drinks from open bars and wine from Dorner Family Vineyard, while sampling hors d'oeuvres and perhaps even purchasing a painting. During the evening, awards will be presented for Best of Show, Best Landscape, Best Urban Painting, Best Still Life and Artists Choice.

The 49 participating artists traveled to Tehachapi in May from all over the country for a paint out that took them to a working cattle ranch, to a visit with the Oak Creek wild horses and to the local vineyards and other vistas. That inspired the work that will be on display from July 19-21.

Time is running out. Tickets will be available until July 15. They are available locally from The Loop newspaper, the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce and at Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District. They are also available at artstehachapi.org. Just hit the Purchase Tickets button. If you can't make the opening, the show will be free to the public on July 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and July 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
