Meet Your New Neighbors

Pat Doody.

Merrill Colon moved to Tehachapi in May 2024 from North Carolina, joining members of her family who were already Tehachapi residents.

Merrill was born and raised in Vermont and is a graduate of Texas A&M. She said she has lived in many places around the United States, among them being Louisiana and New York. She has had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the world and did spend quite a bit of time in Indonesia. As a result of her travel experiences, Merrill is fluent in French and has become a superb chef.

She discovered early in life that the corporate world was not for her. She wanted to enjoy her work and be of service at the same time. Meals by Merrill was born out of that idea and seemed like a perfect vehicle for her talents.

Merrill has become a personal chef. Her personal and private services include meal planning and/or preparation for individuals, families or for small dinner parties. She does all the planning, shopping, preparation and clean up. She also offers to-your-door meal delivery for those who are unable to cook for themselves. Her meals are made from scratch from a variety of cuisines, taking into consideration a client's dietary restrictions, needs and desires creating healthy flavor-packed meals, made to order.

With her background as a personal chef, it is not surprising that Meals by Merrill has been found recently at the Tehachapi Farmers Market where shoppers can look into her variety of services. Her Facebook page also fully illustrates the quality of her meals.

Welcome to Tehachapi Merrill, we have no doubt that Meals by Merrill will be a success here.
