Tehachapi Arts Center
We are offering two fused glass art workshops with Leila Kleiman, our resident fused glass expert. On Saturday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. they will be making a Mandala and on Saturday, Aug. 24, also at 10 a.m., they will craft a beautiful glass bowl. Leila wants everyone to remember to wear closed toe shoes as you will be cutting glass.
Runamuk Ceramics
Runamuk has workshops every Tuesday and Thursday for artists to work on their own projects. Including most of the things in their product catalog.
On Monday, Aug. 5. The days project will be a shelf or wall pocket chicken.
This class will be in three sessions 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 5 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Monday, Aug. 12 a chicken pitcher or tumblers will be offered. Sounds like a nice set.
Pottery Night
Pottery night takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17 at 5 p.m. This month we will be making a mini pie plate with lid.
Painting with Geo
Geo Brawn, our newest instructor, is conducting painting in acrylics classes once a week.
Fridays, Aug. 2, 16 and 30 at 2 p.m.
Saturdays, Aug. 10 and 24 at 2 p.m.
Geo will be teaching in the manner of Bob Ross.
Jam Night
This month, jam nights return on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and 27. Park in the back lot. It's easier to bring your gear in. Arrive any time after 5 p.m., but later is fine, too. We usually go past 10 p.m.
The Tehachapi Arts Center is a Cooperative continuing the heritage of Mel White's Treasure Trove, providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, display and sell their art.
