The City of Tehachapi and Westlane Brewing are excited to present the 2024 Green Street Get Down on Saturday, Aug. 17 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Bring your dancing shoes and lawn chairs to enjoy live performances by Yachty by Nature and Joe Peters.

Admission to the concert is free! Local breweries will be serving their craft beer and Tehachapi Vineyard Church will be providing free water and refreshments.

Yachty by Nature will "take you on a sunset cruise to the guilty pleasures of '70s and '80s smooth yacht rock."

This cover band plays hits from Hall & Oates, Toto, Steely Dan and much more.

Joe Peters is a Bakersfield native making a name for himself in country music. He's had the honor to open for major label acts such as Cody Johnson, Chris Young, Trace Atkins, Cole Swindell, Lainey Wilson and more.

Green Street Get Down is another fun event and attraction included in the Mountain Festival activities. The event pays homage to the street dance held in 1915 to commemorate the first electric streetlights installed in Tehachapi. The site of the original dance was held at the corner of Green and F streets. Throughout the early years of the Tehachapi Mountain Festival, a Saturday night dance typically accompanied other festivities. Now, this tradition is being brought back to life with the Green Street Get Down.
