Tehachapi Arts Center

September is cat & kitten month

Next month the Arts Center is celebrating felines with artwork and a Fixin' Feral Felines event.

With that, the Arts Center is calling all area artists to show their feline-centered artwork here at the center for the month of September. You may offer it for sale or set it out for display only. All mediums accepted: paintings, photography, sculpture, etc. Please submit your work by Aug. 31.

Additionally, on Saturday, Sept. 7 there will be a Fixin' Feral Felines event here at the center. Fixin' Feral felines is a nonprofit group that provides this service for feral cats

Artist Wes Burcham has donated an 11x 14 framed and matted photo of a seriously feral cat – a mountain lion – to a lucky attendee of the event.

Don't forget the events for the rest of the month here at the Arts Center.

Our new resident Art Instructor Geo is conducting his art classes Saturday, Aug. 24 and Friday, Aug. 30

And Runamuk Ceramics has their Thursday pick a project experience including working with "Slip Cast Pottery" and "Play with Clay" projects
