Kids Day at the Museum is an annual event for children and youth in our community. It is sponsored by the Tehachapi Heritage League, supported by local businesses and made possible by a small cadre of volunteers.

There are a few activity spaces available so any organization or individual interested in presenting a display or project should contact Kids Day Coordinator Dixie Coutant, (661) 599-1889 for further information. Individual volunteers are needed to help the day of the event.

Kids Day will be held Sunday, Sept. 15, from noon until 4 p.m. in the 300 block of South Green Street. Coutant says it will be the best Kid Day, ever!

Kids will experience things they don't normally see in the world of today, such as quilting, weaving and carving. They will learn about the natural world of rocks, birds, reptiles and animals, and take home projects they make.

Admission to the event and all activities are free. There are opportunities to play games and win prizes donated by local stores.

This is truly a community event which children and parents look forward to attending every year. Contact Dixie Coutant, (661) 599-1889 for further information.
