Our founder Mel White is conducting a book signing event to introduce her newest effort under her pen name Mel Makaw. Visit the Center between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. You've read her stories in The Loop newspaper, now you can have a signed copy of her newest book.
On Saturday, Sept. 21 and Friday, Sept. 27. Create a beautiful painting using Acrylic paints with our resident instructor Geo. He incorporates a Bob Ross style and can get you painting in a lesson or two.
On Saturdays, Sept. 14 and 28. The first class by our popular fused glass artist Leila will be making a stained-glass style window ornament. Her second class will be a fused glass bowl. Both require closed toe shoes. These popular classes are a great parent and child experience.
On Saturday, Sept. 28. This month our improv workshop has been moved to the 4th Saturday. Hone your skills, exercise your mind and have a great time. This is a fun class that anyone can enjoy.
On Tuesday, Sept. 24. Dust off that old guitar, keyboard, drums or? We meet after 5 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday.
We play all kinds of songs and spend as much time learning as we do playing. All levels are welcome. Use the back door as we shut the front one down for the night.
Pottery Night is the 3rd Saturday of the month.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, Runamuk will be helping you create a penguin or frog scrubby holder. They also have ceramics classes several days a week making all sorts of clay items, from chess sets to baking soda holders for your fridge.

We are now open six days a week. Regular hours are Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Note: We stay open later for unique events such as Thursday's Farmers Market, local fairs, community events and holidays. If the flags are out, we're open!
If you are looking for a place to display your art, consider joining us here as a co-op member or as an artist-vendor. If you have an artistic skill you would like to share, and you want to teach other artists, we invite you to join our classroom. Young artists are welcome, too. We are proud to have our young artists at the Tehachapi Arts Center.
The Tehachapi Arts Center is a Cooperative continuing the heritage of Mel White's Treasure Trove, providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, display, and sell their art.
