On the morning of Sept. 9, the community came out to join the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, Tehachapi Murals committee and members of the Tehachapi Valley Arts Association to re-dedicate the newly repaired "1915 Street Dance" mural on Tehachapi Blvd. Last year the mural had begun separating from the wall and needed to be replaced. Cutting the ribbon was artist Lyn Bennett who did most of the re-creation. Bennett is joined by Gale Caldwell of Gallery 'N' Gifts, JR Long who did all the lettering, Jeanette Pauer head of Tehachapi Murals, along with family members of those depicted on the mural. Community leaders and government officials were represented and presented certificates.

The Loop newspaper's Robert Taylor was 5 years old when he was painted on the mural. "I'm now 25 years old and it's great to be part of Tehachapi's history."
