Come to Kids Day at the Tehachapi Museum, Sept. 15

Kids of all ages are invited to S. Green Street on Sunday, Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. to join the fun of Kids Day at the Museum. Admission and all activities are free.

Make a birdfeeder, bead a bracelet, carve a sculpture, design a quilt square, write a note to a veteran, string a necklace, pet a puppy, weave and draw, pump the player piano in the Errea House and sing along. Check out local insects and reptiles, watch bees make honey and learn about railroad safety, emergency services, therapy dogs and amateur radio. Enjoy over 20 activities and displays.

Win a prize when you complete the Scavenger Hunt then enter the Grand Prize Drawing for prizes donated by Darlene's Real Swell Toys, Carlos' Donuts and Kight's Sweet Treats. In addition to the Tehachapi Museum, other nonprofit organizations participating include The American Legion Auxiliary, Mountain Carvers, Tehachapi Mountain Quilters, Tomo Kahni Park Volunteers, Tehachapi Audubon, Tehachapi Area Radio Amateurs and the Friends of the Tehachapi Depot.
