First annual, 'It's Ok to Say Their Name' event, Oct. 5

David's Cradle – Angel Gowns for Kern County is hosting the first annual, "It's Ok to Say Their Name" event. This event honors Infancy and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month.

During a traumatic loss of a baby, family members may be at a loss for words and the death of the baby is unrecognized and suppressed. David's Cradle – Angel Gowns for Kern County wants to change that experience and extends a warm invitation to anyone who has experienced the loss of a child at any age. The event is an evening to remember, honor, celebrate and say the name of these precious lives. We will have a time of fellowship, a light meal, reading of their names and a luminary remembrance at dusk. Representatives from local maternity/family resources will also be present.
