The City of Tehachapi is hosting two preliminary Hometown Christmas planning meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at noon and at 6 p.m. at the Tehachapi Police Department Community Room, located at 220 W. C St.

All community members interested in participating in or sharing their ideas for the 2024 Tehachapi Hometown Christmas event are invited to attend.

Members of the City of Tehachapi Community Engagement Department will lead the discussion on the preliminary plans for this year's event and will provide an update on how businesses can get involved.

Hometown Christmas aims to help kick off the holiday spirit and will provide activities for visitors in between other Christmas-related events happening around town on Saturday, Dec. 7. The event will be held on Green Street and will feature vendors selling holiday-related items, free crafts/activities for kids and live entertainment. The event will wrap up in time for the annual Christmas Parade, set to take place at 5:30 p.m. on F Street. The Christmas Tree lighting will take place at the Tehachapi Depot Museum after the parade.
