Tehachapi Amateur Radio Association to be recognized

Tehachapi Amateur Radio Association will be recognized by City of Tehachapi and Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce on Monday, Sept. 16, 5:30 p.m., at Tehachapi Police Department, 220 W. C St.

The City of Tehachapi will recognize the exceptional efforts of various community groups who played a pivotal role in the success of the recent Tehachapi Mountain Festival.

Among the honored groups, the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce will acknowledge the Tehachapi Amateur Radio Association (TARA) for their service during the event.

John Knight, on the board of the Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce said, "They assisted with communication and made the event run very smoothly and safely."
