Bike Rodeo Safety Event, Oct. 3

The Tehachapi Police Department is excited to partner with the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District for the Bike Rodeo Safety Event on Thursday, Oct. 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ollie Mountain Sports Park. The event will include a bike safety course led by TPD and CHP with free helmet giveaways.

The Cycle and Go Cyclery will be providing safety checks and helmet adjustments for all cyclists, TVRPD will have a bike-themed crafting booth, California Hot Dog Company will be selling food and Miss Tehachapi Pageant participants will be offering face painting.

"We are going to be giving away bike helmets to the children that show up. So, please bring your kids out, get a brand new certified-safe bike helmet and just come hang out with your police department for a little bit," said Tehachapi Police Chief Richard Standridge.
