TVRPD announce winners of Fit and Fun Under the Sun challenge

The winners of the Fit and Fun Under the Sun challenge who attended the TVRPD meeting on Sept. 17.

At the Sept. 17 meeting of Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District Board of Directors, Recreation Director Sarai Diaz presented ribbons to the winners of the Fit and Fun Under the Sun Challenge.

Team winners were: 1. Doll-Fins - 7,550 miles, 2. Tehachapi Hotties - 7,178 miles, 3. Limit Breakers - 5,703 miles. Cycling winners were: 1. Phil Richmond - 1,157 miles, 2. Daniel Epperson - 1,023 miles, 3. Tracy Jones - 968 miles, 4. Stu Mac - 957 miles, 5. George R. - 839 miles. Swimming winners were: 1. Cady Getts - 28 miles, 2. Rebecca Cruz - 23 miles, 3. Evelyn Getts - 21 miles, 4. Emme Hurka - 18 miles, 5. Marcia Smith - 17 miles. Walk/Run winners were: 1. Daisy Wee - 711 miles, 2. Kelly Pugovel - 650 miles, 3. Bernie DeLoid - 617 miles, 4. Scott Tuscher - 616 miles.
