Witch/Warlock Hat Decorating Contest community judging until Oct. 30

Witch/Warlock hats are on display at Gallery 'N' Gifts for judging from Oct. 4-30. The community will determine the top three winners. You can judge in person, or on our Facebook page until Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. First, second and third place winners will receive a prize.

Where: Gallery 'N' Gifts, 100 W. Tehachapi Blvd. Open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tehachapi Terror Haunted House

Oct. 12-31, 6 to 9 p.m.

Running Oct. 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27 and 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. each night.

The line can get lengthy, so early arrival is encouraged.

Where: 28400 Stallion Springs Drive. Hosted by Woodward West.

Tehachapi Symphony Concert

Oct. 20, 4 p.m.

Guest violinist Lorenz Gamma performs Othmar Schoeck's "Violin Concerto in B-Flat Major." The program will also include Jacques Ibert's "Hommage a Mozart" and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Symphony No. 38 in D Major." This is a free concert.

Tehachapi Library Family Halloween Bash

Oct. 25, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Get into the spooky spirit with a Family Halloween Bash at the library!

Enjoy a fun-filled pre-celebration featuring games, crafts, and plenty of thrills for the kids.

AltaOne Federal Credit Union Trunk or Treat

Oct. 25, 6 to 8 p.m.

Where: 665 Tucker Rd.

Bear Valley Springs Halloween Carnival

Oct. 26, 4 to 8 p.m.

Costumn contest, food, trunk or treat from 5-7 p.m. games, cake walk.

Where: Whiting Center. (Bear Valley Springs is a private gated community. To visit, a non-member or non-resident must arrange with a friend or family member in the community for a guest pass that would permit them to engage in the activities.)

Goulden Hills Trick or Treat

Oct. 26, 4 to 7 p.m.

Movie, pumpkin patch, face painting, candy, games and music.

Where: Meadowbrook Park.

Mountain Bible Church's Fall Family Festival

Oct. 26, 4 to 7 p.m.

Face painting, bingo, games, food, bounce house, craft & bake sale, live music, costume contest at 6:30 p.m.

Where: 630 Maple St.

Coldwell Banker Frontier Trunk or Treat & Haunted House

Oct. 26, 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Halloween Concert by TPops

Oct. 27, 4 p.m.

It will be just as entertaining and spooky as the community has enjoyed by this group in previous years. Robbie Martinez, the conductor, has planned a program that features the sights, sounds and drama of Halloween. Orchestra members will be in costume and this could be an opportunity for attendees to dress-up also. The concert starts at 4 p.m. and doors open at 3:30 p.m.

5th annual Downtown Tehachapi Treat Trail

Where: Three locations, starting at P-Dubs in Stallion Springs from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., Kmart parking lot from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and Meadowbrook Park from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.

Stallion Springs Parks and Recreation Trunk or Treat

Oct. 31, 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Candy, costume cotest, games, haunted hallway, car decorating contest. Sign up at rec desk.

'60s-themed Hippie Halloween re-opening celebration

Oct. 31, 2 to 7 p.m.

Boo at the Zoo!

Oct. 16-20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
