Applications open for Tehachapi Hometown Christmas

The City of Tehachapi is accepting applications from those interested in participating in the 2024 Tehachapi Hometown Christmas. The event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Tehachapi.

The city is seeking vendors that can provide free crafts or activities for kids, Christmas-themed items priced for children to purchase and other handmade items for purchase.

In addition to vendors, brick-and-mortar storefronts are encouraged to apply to be part of the "Tehachapi Hometown Christmas Google Map." The map will promote promotions, special holiday deals, extended hours and more offered by our small businesses.

All interested participants must submit an application form by Thursday, Nov. 7. There is no booth space fee for vendors, but space is limited. The City of Tehachapi Community Engagement Department will announce the final selection of vendors within the first two weeks of November. Selected vendors must be able to provide liability insurance upon approval.

Hometown Christmas aims to help kick off the holiday spirit and will provide activities for visitors between other Christmas-related events happening around town on Dec. 7. The event will wrap up in time for the annual Christmas Parade, which will take place at 5:30 p.m. After the parade, the Christmas Tree Lighting will take place at the Tehachapi Depot Museum.
