Special Needs Decal Program

Tehachapi Police Department

The Tehachapi Police Department is providing free window decals for residents with special needs and their family members. The decals will help officers be aware there is an occupant in the home who may not respond or comply well with commands from law enforcement.

These stickers are free for anyone in the greater Tehachapi area and are available in the lobby of the Tehachapi Police Department at 220 W. C St.

"At the Tehachapi Police Department, we are committed to providing service to every facet of our community and I don't want our special needs community to be neglected – so please take advantage of this program," said Tehachapi Police Chief Richard Standridge.

For those utilizing the stickers, they should be placed in the front window or door of the residence to help alert law enforcement.
