Born in Fort Sill, Oklahoma on Jan. 24, 1945 to Wayne Jacobs and Delola Harrison, Karens life was a testament to strength, resilience and love.
Karen's journey was marked by diverse accomplishments and a spirit that left a lasting impression on all who knew her. After completing Optometry schooling, she played a vital role in supporting the Vietnam War effort by building mechanical components for weapons systems. She later became a successful entrepreneur, founding Brite Cleaning Service, a business she operated with pride and dedication.
Known for her adventuress spirit, Karen was an avid shopper, an amateur car racer and once worked alongside the FBI. A proud patriot, she had an unwavering love for her country and an eagerness to make a difference wherever she could.
Oct. 9, 1976, Karen married the love of her life, Daniel Sheets, in San Juan Capistrano, California. Together they built a life rich in love and laughter, raising a family and sharing nearly 48 years of marriage. Karen was a devoted mother to Greg, Staci and Stephanie, and doting grandmother to many. Her family was her greatest joy, as she made it her life's work to ensure they knew how much they were loved.
Beyond her professional achievements, Karen was deeply passionate about her hobbies. She loved gardening, cooking and baking, always ready to share her creations with family and friends. Dancing was another favorite pastime, and her infectious laugh and warmth made her the life of any gathering. Fiercely independent but with a generous heart, Karen was a woman who spoke her mind and lived with a spirit that inspired everyone around her.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Daniel Sheets; her sister, Barbara Jacobs; her children, Gregory Hark and Stehanie Halpin (Patrick Halpin II); her grandchildren, Ashley Perry (Justin), Wesley Hark, Patrick Halpin III, Tyler Halpin, Kendall Halpin; and great grandchildren Aly and Jamie Perry. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and loved.
