Tehachapi Cancer Foundation update

The Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION couldn’t do what we do without your help and support. This village has been amazing supporting us for 10 years.

We are currently assisting three families here in the greater Tehachapi area. Our clients range from 7 years old to 60+ years old. Each individual has unique needs and wants. Needs range from assisting with utilities to gas for their vehicle. Treatment is a minimum of 45 miles one way. Madera Children’s hospital is 160 miles one way. This is a big expense on a family. Taking time away from work, food on the trip ... it all adds up. Sometimes the utility companies have special rates for medical conditions. Always call your utility company to ask. Remember if you don’t ask, the answer is always NO.

We are starting a Cancer Support group, and our first meeting is Dec. 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It will be held at Country Real Estate, 107 E. Tehachapi Blvd., Tehachapi. All are welcome. Warriors, survivors and caregivers. No need to RSVP, just show up.
