Rotary Wine Pairing Dinner returns Jan. 25, 2025

Rotary Club of Tehachapi

The Rotary Club of Tehachapi is excited to announce its annual Rotary Wine Pairing Dinner, to be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the recently renovated Old Moose Lodge, located at 123 W. F St. (corner of F and Curry Streets). This is an incredible evening of celebration, community, friendship and giving while enjoying wine and food. The cost for tickets is $125.

A celebration of fine wines and culinary artistry

This year's featured winery is Tlo Winery, a family-owned business dedicated to crafting rich, balanced wines. Founded in 2008, Tlo (pronounced like "hello") derives its name from the Croatian word for "ground" or "soil," representing the terroir that enhances a grape's flavor through natural elements such as soil, topography and climate.

Sourcing from sustainably farmed vineyards throughout the Central Coast, Tlo handcrafts their wines in Paso Robles while serving them in their hometown of Bakersfield. Their boutique-style approach pays homage to their Croatian roots, blending tradition with gratitude for life, family and the land. Guests can expect an array of exquisite wines that reflect Tlo's dedication to sustainable winemaking and honoring the elements that make each vintage unique.

New culinary partner: Bord A Petite Catering

This year, the Rotary Club welcomes Bord A Petite Catering to present a meal that perfectly complements the wines of Tlo Winery. Led by founder Lisa Borda, Bord A Petite Catering brings a wealth of culinary expertise and a passion for creating extraordinary dining experiences.

Lisa Borda's journey began as a teenager working for one of Bakersfield's premier caterers, Marilyn Curtis. Her career has taken her to work under world-renowned Swiss Chef Rene at the Ocean Song Restaurant, and later alongside Bakersfield culinary legends at Café Med and Valentien Restaurant. In 2004, Lisa founded Bord A Petite Catering, driven by her mission to deliver delicious food paired with impeccable service.

This exciting collaboration promises a unique evening of gourmet cuisine and perfectly paired wines, creating an unforgettable dining experience for all attendees.
