Gallery 'N' Gifts has been a staple of Tehachapi's Historic Downtown Business District for 45 years.

This gift boutique and fine arts gallery, run by Tehachapi Valley Arts Association, features the creations of local artists. You'll find a wide-variety of gifts for all ages made by artisans with a gift for quality workmanship. Fine art, potters, metal art, weavings, quilts, fashion accessories, jewelry, wood items, scented candles, bath/body products, sewing creations, tumbles, Tehachapi souvenirs, custom pens, stained glass and so much more.

The members each work the store a few days a month, taking turns to allow the store to be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In winter after Christmas, their winter hours begin and they close at 4 p.m. until the following time change.

This talented group also fosters creativity in the community by offering special events. First Friday receptions shine the spotlight on a new featured artist every month. February and August allow amateur photographers a chance to compete and win ribbons and cash prizes. In April, youth in the community are given the opportunity to show their art in the All Tehachapi Youth Art Contest and win prizes. Makers Market in August allows various handmade artists a venue to showcase their wares. They top off their event season with Chalk on the Walk, a sidewalk art contest which is their main fundraiser.

The proceeds from fundraising efforts go directly toward purchasing art supplies for local area classrooms and scholarships for high school seniors planning their art education in college.
