AltaOne Federal Credit Union launches Scholarship, Nonprofit Grant Programs to empower communities

AltaOne Federal Credit Union is excited to announce the AltaOne Foundation's 2025 Digital Scholarship Program and Reach New Heights Grant Program, two impactful initiatives aimed at supporting the educational aspirations of local students and the vital work of nonprofit organizations in our communities.

Digital Scholarship Program

The AltaOne Foundation's Digital Scholarship Program is open to high school students 14 years and older, graduating high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate a commitment to academic achievement and community involvement.

Key details:

• Application Period: Open now through 5 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2025.

• Award Amount: Up to $1,000 per recipient.

• No essay required-just 2-3 financial literacy related social media posts.

• Eligibility: applicants must be AltaOne members and have a GPA of at least 2.5.

• Current high school students can use the funds for summer 2025 academic programs.

• Graduating high school seniors can use the funds for college, university and trade school expenses for the 2025/26 academic year.

• Current college students can use the funds for ongoing expenses related to their continuing education.

Reach New Heights Nonprofit Grant Program

The AltaOne Foundation's Reach New Heights Grant Program provides financial assistance to nonprofit organizations that share the credit union's vision of strengthening the communities we serve. Grants are available for projects focused on education, financial literacy, health and community well-being.

Key details:

• Application Period: Open now through 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31.

• Grant Amount: Up to $1,000 per organization.

• Simple, online application.

• Eligibility: nonprofits operating in Kern, Inyo, Mono and northern San Bernardino counties are encouraged to apply.
