Chair of the Board David Couch of District 4 swears in Chris Parlier.

On Dec. 17, Chairman of the Kern County Board of Supervisors David Couch swore in new District 2 Supervisor Chris Parlier. District 2, which includes East Kern and Tehachapi, had been without a representative since Zack Scrivner resigned last year. Parlier was elected to fill the District 2 seat in the Nov. 2024 election. Six candidates ran to fill that seat.
