Happy New Year from Tehachapi Arts Center

Tehachapi Arts Center welcomes in the new year wishing everybody a happy, prosperous, and peaceful 2025. It's hard to believe another year has past us by.

Improv Class with Susan & Johnathon, Saturday, Jan. 11

Join us for a great workshop and get the chance to hone your improv skills. This one is a lot of fun.

Runamuk Ceramics

Will be holding various classes this month. Create your own design or use one of theirs to create decorations and ornaments, cooking ware, mugs, plates, trays, bowls.

Many of the items they offer will make some great family heirlooms

Fused Glass Open Studio with Leila, Friday, Jan. 3 at 1:30 p.m.

Leila Kleiman is offering a supervised open studio using her Fused Glass making skills to teach her students how to make one of. Kind items like ornaments, jewelry. This is a class for students that have taken her class before or has experience with fused glass

On Saturday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. Leila will have a Fused Glass class for everybody.

Geo's Joy of Painting

Geo will be teaching 5 classes this month.

Friday, Jan. 24, noon to 3 p.m., Jan. 10 & 31 from 2 until 5 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 4 & 18 from 2 until 5 p.m.

Marissa's Crochet Class on Monday, Jan. 20 one of our newest artist Marissa is conducting a crochet class. The class is from 3 to 5 p.m.

Jam Night: Dust off that old guitar, Bass, Keyboard, harmonica, Ukulele or whatever you have and come out for a fun night of music and socializing. We are mostly a group of intermediate musicians, so don't think you have to be great to join us. Bring a few copies of songs you want to play. We usually start around 6pm. You can arrive as early as 5 p.m. People coming from work arrive as late as 8 p.m. This month Jam Night will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14 & 28.

We sell art supplies

The Arts Center has increased its inventory of art supplies. We have paints, markers and a host of other jewelry making and art supplies.

Keysmith

Our Keysmith Mark makes a variety of classic vehicle and household keys that are Guaranteed to work. His hours are Tuesdays and by appointment.

Law Office of Rebecca Ortiz Johnson

Rebecca is an Attorney proficient in family law and children's rights. She is available in the evenings and weekends. For an appointment call (661) 829-4941.

Alari Designs

Now open Saturdays only, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment.

Our Jeweler Alari Designs is the only stop in town for watch batteries fine jewelry repair and reconstruction. Please call or text (661) 805-0849 for more information.

Join our co-op

If you are looking for a place to display your art, consider joining us here as a co-op member or as an artist vendor. If you have an artistic skill you would like to share, you can teach a class in our classroom. Young artists are welcome too. We are proud to have a growing number of up-and-coming artists getting their first start here at the Arts Center.

The Tehachapi Arts Center is a Cooperative continuing the heritage of Mel White's Treasure Trove providing a venue for local artisans to gather, learn, teach, and of course display and sell their art.
