Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
The inaugural meeting of the Tehachapi Cancer Support Group was a heartwarming success! It brought together individuals in our community who are fighting cancer, survivors and their dedicated supporters, providing a safe and supportive space to connect, share and learn.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet others facing similar challenges, exchange valuable information and discover resources for additional support and free services. This gathering fostered a sense of unity and understanding that left everyone inspired.
We were fortunate to have both “warriors” and “sharegivers” at the meeting, and the conversations sparked some truly eye-opening moments. Participants expressed amazement at learning that they were not alone in their thoughts and feelings ... moments of connection that could only happen by being there.
If you missed the first meeting, don’t worry! We invite you to join us for the next session on Jan. 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Country Real Estate, 107 E. Tehachapi Blvd.
One significant topic from our last meeting, that we’ll delve into during the next session, is a question many grapple with: “I have been a good person; am I being punished?” It’s a powerful discussion, and we encourage everyone to come, share their perspective and find comfort in a supportive environment.
The Tehachapi CANCER FOUNDATION is here to remind you that you are not alone. Together, we can face the challenges, celebrate the victories and uplift one another.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss this opportunity to connect and heal together.
Blessings to all,
Tehachapi Cancer Foundation
