Democrats urge protection for retirees

Rob England is the new executive director of California Alliance for Retired Americans. He has extensive experience in coalition building, advocacy and grass roots organizing.

He will be the speaker at the Feb. 6 meeting of Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club (TMDC). England has dedicated himself to advancing the rights of working people. He will suggest ways TMDC members can help with this effort.

Tehachapi High School Warrior Pantry is a project that TMDC likes to promote. Todd Morrison who represents that organization will also speak at the Feb. 6 meeting to explain the benefits of the Warrior Pantry to local students and items that are needed.

The meeting will be held at Kelcy's Restaurant, 110 W. Tehachapi Blvd., beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. Most members like to come about 4:30 p.m. to eat and visit. Contact http://www.tehachapidemocrats.com for reservations.
