Arrest made in sexual assault investigation

On Jan. 27, the Tehachapi Police Department arrested 41-year-old Tehachapi resident Adrian Daugherty for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor following an investigation in which it was determined Daugherty sexually assaulted a teenage victim.

Daugherty was employed as a Youth Pastor at the Tehachapi Church of the Nazarene at the time of his arrest. Daugherty was booked at the Lerdo Pre-Trial Facility.

The Tehachapi Police Department is continuing its investigation to determine if there are any additional victims. Currently, it is unknown if there are any additional victims, however we encourage anyone with information regarding this case to please reach out to the Tehachapi Police Department.
