On Jan. 23, officers with the Tehachapi Police Department served a search warrant in the 200 block of West J Street. During the search, officers contacted 26-year-old Rodolfo Paz and 20-year-old Kamarie Saxton of Tehachapi.

During the search of their residence, officers located nearly two ounces of cocaine, 11 ounces of marijuana, scales, packaging material, THC Vape pens and over $4,000 in cash. Officers also located a Polymer80 9mm handgun with no serial number, commonly referred to as a "ghost gun" and a high capacity 33 round magazine.

Both Rodolfo and Kamarie were placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance for sales, weapons charges, as well as operating and maintaining a drug house. Both subjects were later booked at Kern County Sheriff's Lerdo Pre-Trial Facility.

The Tehachapi Police Department is committed to keeping our community safe from subjects who wish to poison it with narcotics.
